Laurent Grasso's First Major Monograph Published Alongside SolarWind Commission

Laurent Grasso's first major monograph, titled 'Soleil double', has been published by Dilecta and Perrotin. The book coincides with the inauguration of SolarWind, a monumental public light commission projected onto two silos at the edge of the Paris ring road. The monograph covers Grasso's work across painting, sculpture, film, and installation, exploring themes of time, perception, and the invisible. The publication includes essays by art historians and critics, and features extensive documentation of his projects from the early 2000s to 2016. SolarWind, the public artwork, uses LED technology to create a luminous, shifting display that references solar phenomena and urban infrastructure. The project was produced in collaboration with the City of Paris and is part of a broader initiative to integrate contemporary art into the urban landscape. Grasso, born in 1972 in Mulhouse, France, is known for his interdisciplinary practice that blends scientific inquiry with aesthetic experience. He has exhibited internationally at institutions such as the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, the Palais de Tokyo, and the Centre Pompidou.
