Lauren Cornell promoted to curator and associate director of technology initiatives at New Museum
Starting July 1, Lauren Cornell will take on the role of curator and associate director for technology initiatives at the New Museum in New York. In her new position, she will be responsible for the curatorial program, which encompasses exhibitions, symposia, and online commissions, along with overseeing the museum’s digital content and platforms. Cornell, who has been with the New Museum since 2005, has previously served as an adjunct curator and the executive director of Rhizome. She recently worked with Ryan Trecartin to co-curate the New Museum Triennial and is also a coeditor for the upcoming book, Mass Effect: Art and the Internet in the Twenty-First Century. Additionally, she teaches at Bard College's Center for Curatorial Studies.
