LAUFEN unveils VITREON steel and PAR collection at Milan Design Week 2026

architecture-design · 2026-04-27

At Milan Design Week 2026, Swiss bathroom specialist LAUFEN presented a range of new products and concepts under the themes 'Experience Tomorrow' at Salone del Mobile and 'When Time Becomes Material' at LAUFEN space Milano. The brand introduced VITREON steel, a glass-steel hybrid that combines strength, chemical resistance, and a luminous finish, enabling Tricolor compositions and the Tendo collection with an ergonomic, tilted basin. The ongoing collaboration with Kartell, under creative direction of Ferruccio Laviani, debuted the beauTwash furniture piece and a reinterpretation of Anna Castelli Ferrieri's Componibile as a column washbasin. Designer Konstantin Grcic created the PAR collection, focused on inclusivity for older users, featuring ceramics, furniture, and the FIL faucet line. Yves Behar's VOLTA collection explored the architectural potential of Saphirkeramik with totemic freestanding and wall-mounted models. The ceramics for PAR and VOLTA are produced in the world's first electric tunnel kiln for sanitary ceramics in Gmunden, Austria, achieving Cradle to Cradle Certified Bronze level.
