LANZA Atelier Transforms Historic Guanajuato Residence into Boutique Hotel

In the historic center of Guanajuato, Mexico, LANZA Atelier has completed Hotel Casa de las Abuelas, a boutique hotel that adapts an old residence into a six-room accommodation with a street-facing cafe. The project, which spans 300 square meters, was completed in 2025 and is documented in photographs by Paulo Zimmermmann Jr. The design team, led by Alessandro Arienzo, includes Isabel Abascal and Lucía Font. The hotel is curated by Valentina Díaz. The project exemplifies adaptive reuse in a heritage context, blending contemporary hospitality with the architectural character of the historic center.
