Landon Metz Exhibition and Conversation at Waddington Custot London

New York-based painter Landon Metz presents his second exhibition at Waddington Custot in London from June 21 to August 9, 2024. The show features abstract paintings created using the soak-stain method, with works displayed floor-to-ceiling and around corners. Metz draws inspiration from American avant-garde composer John Cage and artist Helen Frankenthaler, exploring tranquility through form and color as an alternative to urban life's pace. A conversation between Metz and ArtReview Editor Fi Churchman will occur at the gallery on June 20 at 7pm, with a private view scheduled for June 20 from 6 to 8:30pm. Waddington Custot, formed in 2010 by Stephane Custot and Leslie Waddington, has been on Cork Street since 1958 and focuses on modern and contemporary art, particularly monumental sculpture.
