Lana Lopesi on Contemporary Moana Art from Aotearoa New Zealand

Lana Lopesi's essay, 'Beyond Essentialism: Contemporary Moana Art from Aotearoa New Zealand,' was released on July 23, 2018, in Issue 46 of Afterall Journal. In this work, she challenges the essentialist perspectives surrounding contemporary Moana art from Aotearoa New Zealand. It's accessible only to subscribers or can be bought separately through the University of Chicago Press. Other notable upcoming publications include Sheau Yun Lim's 'Inside History: The Life and Paintings of Inauk S.
