Lambrate Design District Confirms Robust Program for Fuorisalone 2018

Despite the relocation of Organisation in Design to via Paisiello and the launch of the new Ventura-Future district, the Lambrate Design District in Milan is experiencing renewed vitality for Fuorisalone 2018. Coordinator Enzo Carbone of Promotedesign.it confirms numerous events are planned within the area bounded by via Massimiano, via Ventura, and via Conte Rosso. Architect Simone Micheli will present 'Regeneration Hotel,' his largest contract-sector exhibition to date, occupying over 4,000 square meters at Officina Ventura. The show will feature three-dimensional cutaways illustrating hotel refurbishment projects for various clients and includes a series of talks with hospitality professionals. Culinary initiatives include the permanent Osteria Milano on via Sbodio 30, complementing existing street food events WEating and Street Food Experience. The district maintains its focus on innovation and self-produced design with returning participants Din – Design In (sixth edition at via Massimiano 6/via Sbodio 9, now including a contemporary jewelry temporary shop) and Fuorisalmone (fifth consecutive participation in via Massimiano lofts). New venue Spazio Donno (700 sqm on via Conte Rosso) hosts a domotics-focused exhibition curated by artist Stefano Epis, creator of DesignCircus, featuring Italian and international designers. The Mohole school of graphics, photography, and comics on via Ventura will again contribute exhibitions, screenings, and performances.
