Lahore Biennale 2020 unveils artist roster with climate focus
Hoor Al Qasimi, the director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, is set to take the lead as the curator for the upcoming second Lahore Biennale, titled 'between the sun and the moon.' This event, known as LB02, will shine a light on the environmental issues affecting the Global South. It will feature contributions from over 70 artists, including notable names like Alia Farid, Anwar Saeed, and John Akomfrah. The biennale is scheduled to run from January 26 to February 29, 2020, across various cultural and heritage sites in Lahore. Organized by the Lahore Biennale Foundation, the event aims to deepen our understanding of humanity's relationship with nature and encourage conversations between South and West Asia.
