Lady Oscar: 45 anni di anime in mostra a Milano

From May 25 to September 15, WOW Spazio Fumetto in Milan is celebrating the 45th anniversary of the anime "Lady Oscar" with an exhibition titled '1979-2024. Lady Oscar'. The event is organized by Yamato Video along with curators Enrico Ercole, Angelo Capozzi, and Luca Bertuzzi, and it has the backing of the Lady Oscar Italian Fan Club and various collectors. The showcase delves into the manga by Riyoko Ikeda, published by Shūeisha since 1972, and highlights the anime that premiered in Japan on October 10, 1979, and in Italy on March 1, 1982. Visitors can expect original cels, Ceppi Ratti dolls, Japanese memorabilia, posters, sticker albums, and insights into 18th-century fashion, including costumes, wigs, and jewelry. Additionally, there's a special focus on Francesca Scannagatta, a Milanese woman from 1776 who disguised herself as a man to join the Austrian army, drawing a historical connection to the "Lady Oscar" narrative.
