On April 18, 2020, the worldwide broadcast event One World: Together At Home took place, coordinated by Global Citizen alongside the World Health Organization (WHO) to aid healthcare professionals combating COVID-19. Initially set for Record Store Day, which was moved to June 20, the event showcased a digital and television marathon featuring performances from artists such as Paul McCartney, Alanis Morissette, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong, Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, and Andrea Bocelli. Curated by Lady Gaga, the event successfully raised $35 million for WHO relief initiatives. The broadcast was available live on ABC, NBC, ViacomCBS Networks, and other platforms in the US, Canada, and the UK. Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General, remarked on the event's demonstration of global unity. Lady Gaga highlighted the necessity of worldwide collaboration to address the pandemic and avert future crises.
