LACMA's Summer Third Weekends: Art, Meditation, and Performance

From August 13-17, 2026, the Third Weekends program at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) will take place. Kicking off on August 13, artists rafa esparza, Shizu Saldamando, and Susan Silton will engage in a discussion titled "Artists Take on L.A.," moderated by Lindsay Preston Zappas. The Friday lineup includes Art + Meditation and a concert featuring the Joshua White Quartet. On Saturday, attendees can enjoy an outdoor chess event, a lecture by Liz Glynn, a figure drawing workshop, a writing session with Sam Roberts, and a screening of "The Toll of the Sea." Sunday will feature shadowboxing, outdoor drawing, a Japanese tea ceremony, and a Cooking with LACMA workshop. The program wraps up on Monday with a mindful meditation session led by Mariko Tu.
