Labics Wins International Competition for Rome's Imperial Fora Walkway
In autumn 2023, the Capitoline administration announced that the architecture firm Labics, based in Rome, has been awarded the design contract for the Nuova Passeggiata Archeologica at the Imperial Fora. Labics will receive €135,000 for their work on this project, which has an estimated cost of €18.8 million (excluding VAT). The jury, led by João Luís Carrilho da Graça, featured members Cristiano Rosponi, Alessandra Rampazzo, Adriano La Regina, and Eleonora Pallottino. Overseen by Walter Tocci, this initiative is part of the CArMe Strategic Plan. Labics' proposal includes pathways, green spaces, and routes for pedestrians and cyclists, with construction slated to commence by September 2024. Runners-up, including Grazzini Tonazzini and others, will share €100,000 in reimbursements.
