La Revue Dessinée Italia: New Quarterly Comics Journalism Magazine Launches

La Revue Dessinée Italia, a new quarterly publication focused on comics journalism, has debuted in Italy. This magazine boasts over 200 pages free from advertisements and seeks to address current issues via partnerships between notable comic artists and independent journalists. The initiative was launched by Massimo Colella, alongside a team that includes Andrea Coccia, Lorenzo Palloni, and Alessio Ravazzani. Drawing inspiration from the French counterpart that began in 2013, the inaugural issue, available by subscription and in bookstores from June, discusses subjects like the TAV Turin-Lyon high-speed rail, climate crisis, social football, new pornography, narcoterrorism, and territorial renewal. Contributors include various artists and writers, with the cover designed by Andrea Serio. Editor-in-chief Andrea Coccia emphasized the magazine's role in highlighting underreported stories in Italian media.
