La Belle Baroque 2026: Baroque Meets Japanese Soul in Beaujolais

The third edition of the Festival La Belle Baroque, titled "Une âme japonaise, entre Orient et Occident," will take place from June 9 to June 14, 2026, in the Beaujolais region of France. The festival, a major cultural event in the area, focuses on early music and offers an immersive experience in heritage venues. This year, it expands its repertoire to include contemporary works alongside Baroque classics. Composer Fabrice Boulanger will premiere two pieces, Jisei and Wakas, based on Japanese poems. A food truck, a musical conference at the Belleville-en-Beaujolais media library, and artist meet-and-greets foster conviviality.
