Kunstmuseum Den Haag Unveils Major Delftware Exhibition 'Blue Loves You'

Kunstmuseum Den Haag has opened a major long-term exhibition titled 'Blue Loves You' showcasing its extensive Delftware collection. The exhibition, co-curated by Janny van der Heijden, marks four centuries of Delftware craftsmanship and features around a thousand objects ranging from household goods to haute couture. Suzanne Lambooy, curator of decorative arts at the museum, highlighted the human quality of Delftware, noting that its imperfections—firing errors, cracks, and chips—distinguish it from Chinese porcelain and make it particularly resonant today. The museum holds one of the world's largest collections of Delftware, and this visually opulent and versatile exhibition will remain on view for several years.
