Kunsthall Trondheim 2026 Program Explores Food, Language, and Community
Kunsthall Trondheim has revealed its performance and public program for spring–fall 2026, which continues its yearly exploration of inclusion and exclusion norms. This initiative unites artists and communities, focusing on themes of nourishment and suppression related to bodies, languages, histories, and urban spaces. The schedule features lecture-performances, public interventions, communal dinners, and collective readings, all addressing the politics of food, the closeness of shared language, and the endurance of cultures and people. Among the contributors is artist Arijit Bhattacharyya. The program draws from the origins of the word culture (from Latin “colere”—to cultivate) and companionship (from “com” and “panis”—together, bread), highlighting the connection between art and what is grown, prepared, and enjoyed together.
