Kruso Art to open new Milan headquarters in former cinema
Milanese auction house Kruso Art will move into the former Cinema De Amicis on Via Caminadella by spring 2026. The historic cinema, opened in 1960 and abandoned since 2002, will be restored as part of the city's M4 metro redevelopment. CEO Andrea Orsini Scataglini announced the relocation alongside a new design department led by 21-year-old Andrea Genovesi. The first design auction is scheduled for December 18, 2025, at the current Palazzo Largo Augusto location, featuring works by Gio Ponti, Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass, and George James Sowden. That same day, modern and contemporary art sales will include U-3 Under 3k Euros for emerging collectors and a main session with pieces like Adelita Husni-Bey's "Lessons from the Twilight Kingdom" (€2,500-3,500 estimate), Giuseppe Veneziano's "La nascita di Lady Gaga," and Enzo Fiore's "Archivio Warhol." November auctions will cover books, jewelry, decorative arts, antiques, and luxury fashion. Kruso Art is owned by Kruso Kapital – Gruppo Banca Sistema.
