Kristina Rozhkova's 'Gut Feeling' Explores Captivity and Control

Kristina Rozhkova's book 'Gut Feeling', released by Void, delves into themes of captivity, cruelty, and the dichotomy between care and control, reflecting on her experiences of imprisonment in Russia, her upbringing, and BDSM culture. In June 2024, she was detained following a cemetery photo shoot that a male supremacist group, Male State, labeled as blasphemous. Rozhkova endured two months in pre-trial detention, four months under house arrest, and a year in court before being acknowledged as a political prisoner and subsequently going into exile. The book showcases raw images of her social network, caged animals, and industrial farming, intentionally excluding professional models.
