ai-technology · 2026-05-19

KPMG has teamed up with Anthropic to roll out the Claude AI model across its key business operations, which will affect over 276,000 employees in 138 countries. The rollout will kick off with tax and legal tools on KPMG's Digital Gateway platform, giving all employees access. Anthropic has also named KPMG as its preferred partner for private equity, aiming to create new products powered by Claude for portfolio companies. Claude will help pinpoint and tackle cybersecurity issues. This partnership builds on KPMG US's two years of AI initiatives, including efforts from its AI and Data Labs. The implementation will follow KPMG's Trusted AI framework, and there will be collaborative research with UT Austin's McCombs School of Business. Additionally, Anthropic is acquiring Stainless, known for SDKs and MCP server tools, and has formed a $200 million partnership with the Gates Foundation.
