KPF Designs TCC DAKA Recycling Center as Cultural and Industrial Hub

KPF has wrapped up the TCC DAKA Renewable Resources Recycling Center (RRRC) in Taiwan. Spanning 6,500 square meters, this facility merges a state-of-the-art waste recovery plant with a cultural and natural hub. The project, led by Bruce Fisher and Bob Graustein, included contributions from Richard Nemeth and Sean Roche, who focused on creating an attractive and transparent design that fosters sustainability education. The team also featured Max Leclerc, Ted Kim, and Zhencheng Cui, with Trinity Architects & Planners overseeing the architecture. Set to open in 2025, the interior was crafted by OMOMO Co., Ltd, while Frameless Landscape Architects took care of the outdoor spaces. Engineering support came from several firms, and the center aims to tackle local waste issues while promoting community education through thoughtful design.
