Kourtney Roy's First Italian Solo Show Reimagines Naples

Canadian artist Kourtney Roy presents her first solo exhibition in Italy at Spot Home Gallery in Naples, running until June 30, 2026. The show stems from a 2025 artist residency in the city, which invited Roy to engage with Naples—an iconic and heavily represented locale. Roy's photography occupies an ambiguous space between narrative, self-representation, and fiction, heavily influenced by cinematic aesthetics and North American visual culture. She often uses herself as a subject, not autobiographically, but to assume multiple identities drawn from a collective imaginary of motels, deserted roads, retro interiors, and forgotten peripheries. The exhibition is titled "Napoli fuori scena: le anti-cartoline di Kourtney Roy."
