Kostyal Gallerists Open Domestic Exhibition Space in Milan

exhibition · 2026-04-26

International gallerists Katharine and Carl Kostyal have transformed their Milanese apartment into a private exhibition space, hosting three shows per year by invitation only. The apartment, a gem of architecture and design by Luigi Caccia Dominioni (1913–2016), features original fixtures including mosaic floors, marble bathrooms, and a vaulted kitchen. The Kostyals, who run galleries in London, Stockholm, and Hospitalet, have furnished the space with mid-century Italian design pieces and works from their collection, including pieces by Alex Da Corte, Claire Fontaine, and Austin Lee. The current exhibition, "Be Sure To Never Get To Where You Are Going" (through May 11, 2024), presents new paintings by Australian artist Jordy Kerwick alongside Fante military flags from the private collection of tribal art collector Peter Adler. Kerwick, who lives and works in France, will have a second solo show at the Kostyal gallery in Hospitalet in 2025.
