Korea Art Prize 2026 Exhibition Opens at MMCA Seoul

The Korea Art Prize 2026 exhibition is on view at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) in Seoul from July 24 to December 6, 2026. Curated by Park Deoksun, the exhibition showcases works by four nominated artists: Lee Hai Min Sun, Lee Jungwoo, Jeon Hyunsun, and Hong Jin-hwon. Lee Hai Min Sun presents installations including 'Lingering Snow' (2024/2026), 'Plant Erectus_The Mass' (2026), and 'Here I am' (2023–2026). Lee Jungwoo's works include 'The Left Handed Gun' (2026), 'If One Climbs Up and Up' (2020/2026), and 'Floating Clouds' (2026). Jeon Hyunsun contributes 'Mountain' (2026), 'Even Rabbits Dig a Second Burrow' (2026), and 'The Unseen Paintings' (2026). Hong Jin-hwon's pieces include 'The Highest Form of the Image is Armed Struggle' (2026), 'Exactly Speaking, the Milky Way is a Phantom' (2026), and 'Dark Adaptation' (2026). The exhibition is part of the Korea Art Prize, a prestigious award organized by MMCA to recognize and support contemporary Korean artists. The event provides a platform for these artists to present new and recent works, highlighting current trends in Korean contemporary art.
