Koo Jeong A's Indoor Skatepark OooOoO Opens at Triennale Milano
Triennale Milano is opening an indoor skatepark named OooOoO inside its historic building, created by South Korean artist Koo Jeong A for the exhibition PLAY! The multisensory installation will be free and usable by up to fifteen skaters at a time from November 27, 2019 to February 16, 2020. After the exhibition, the skatepark will be donated to the City of Milan. Koo Jeong A has previously built nocturnal skateparks: OTRO on Vassivière Island, France (2012), EVERTO in Liverpool, UK (2015), and ARROGATION in São Paulo, Brazil (2016). The Triennale installation includes sound design by Glasgow-based electronic producer Koreless. The exhibition is curated by Julia Peyton-Jones and Lorenza Baroncelli.
