Kondor Blue Acquires Element Filters and Launches FullSpec ND Filter Line

other · 2026-04-17

Kondor Blue has successfully acquired Element Filters, incorporating its optical filtration technology and intellectual property. This acquisition marks a significant shift in Kondor Blue's focus, extending beyond camera rigging and power systems to include image-shaping optics. Lukas Colombo, the founder and CEO, stated that this move allows the company to engage directly with the image, integrating reliable optical technology into its offerings. The first product from this merger is the Kondor Blue FullSpec ND 4×5.65 filter line, tailored for professional cinema applications. These filters are crafted from 2mm Schott B270 optical glass within 4mm aluminum frames, ensuring color fidelity and spectral balance. Following a prior collaboration on the Opaline Diffusion Filter series, Kondor Blue aims to enhance its filtration range through 2026. Priced at $230 each, the FullSpec ND filters quickly sold out, with a complete set of seven densities available for $1,450.
