Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2016 Announces Initial Artist Roster for Third Edition

The third edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale is set to take place from 12 December 2016 to 29 March 2017, under the curation of Sudarshan Shetty. This event seeks to integrate various artistic forms, featuring poets, musicians, theatre artists, and performance creators alongside visual artists. Established in 2011 by Bose Krishnamachari and Riyas Komu, it ranks among the largest art festivals in South Asia. An accompanying program will offer a range of activities, including talks, seminars, workshops, film screenings, and music events in Fort Kochi and Ernakulam. The initial lineup of 25 participants includes Raul Zurita (Chile), Ouyang Jianghe (China), and Sophie Dejode and Bertrand Lacombe (France), representing a variety of disciplines and backgrounds.
