Knights of the Zodiac live-action film set for April 28 release in Japan
The live-action film adaptation of Masami Kurumada's manga Saint Seiya, known in Italy as I Cavalieri dello Zodiaco, will premiere in Japanese theaters on April 28, 2023. Produced by Toei Animation and Sony Pictures, the film stars Mackenyu as Pegasus, Madison Iseman as Sienna, and Sean Bean as Alman Kido. Directed by Tomasz Bagiński, the cast also includes Famke Janssen, Mark Dacascos, Nick Stahl, and Diego Tinoco. The original manga debuted in 1985, followed by a 114-episode anime series from 1986 to 1989. A new Netflix series launched in 2019, and Star Comics is currently publishing a new edition of the manga in Italy.
