Klimt Experience: Immersive Multimedia Show in Florence Church
From November 26, 2016 to April 2, 2017, the deconsecrated 12th-century church of Santo Stefano al Ponte in Florence hosts Klimt Experience, a large-scale immersive multimedia exhibition dedicated to Gustav Klimt. Curated by Sergio Risaliti and produced by Gruppo Crossmedia (via Santo Stefano srl), the show features 11 megascreens with over 700 images projected via Matrix X-Dimension system and multi-projections in video mapping. An introductory area includes interactive touch tables and a Klimt VR Experience using Oculus Samsung Gear VR developed by Orwell, allowing visitors to enter and explore three-dimensional details of famous works like The Kiss, The Tree of Life, and Judith. The venue previously hosted Van Gogh Alive, Da Vinci Alive, Body Worlds, and Incredible Florence.
