KitchenAid Artisan Plus Stand Mixer: First Redesign in 70 Years

other · 2026-05-03

KitchenAid has introduced the Artisan Plus tilt-head stand mixer, the first major redesign of its iconic mixer in over 70 years, announced on March 30, 2024. The new model features a more powerful 350-watt motor (up from 325 watts), precision speed control with half-speed settings up to 11 speeds, a Soft Start feature, and an LED bowl light. It comes in new colors including Wild Blueberry and Sun-Dried Tomato with a crinkle finish, plus Iron Ore Bronze and Oat. The Artisan Plus includes a double-flex edge beater attachment and an upgraded pouring shield with rubber grips. Priced $100 higher than the Artisan model, the improvements are designed for home-baking enthusiasts. The mixer retains the same footprint as previous generations and is compatible with existing attachments. KitchenAid has been producing stand mixers since 1919, with the tilt-head design remaining largely unchanged since the 1950s.
