Kisan AI: Profit-Aware Crop Advisory System

Researchers have developed Kisan AI, a smart crop advisory system that incorporates market price data to address 'economic blindness' in existing systems. Traditional advisory systems optimize for biological yield, often leading to financially unviable decisions. Kisan AI uses a Random Forest classifier trained on a nine-feature dataset, adding a market_price variable to seven standard agronomic attributes. Evaluated against eight baseline models, the RF model achieved 99.3% accuracy and the lowest Log Loss, demonstrating the validity of including market price as a predictive feature. The system aims to guide farmers toward both agronomically sound and financially profitable choices.
