Kiki Smith to Be Honored at Brooklyn Museum Luncheon

On November 19, 2009, the Brooklyn Museum is hosting its seventh annual Women in the Arts luncheon, kicking off at 11am to honor artist Kiki Smith. During the event, there will be a conversation between Smith and Catherine Morris, who is the Curator of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art. They’ll discuss Smith’s notable installation, "Kiki Smith: Sojourn," which will premiere at the center on February 5, 2010. Since her debut major exhibition in New York in 1988, Smith has had over 150 solo shows and has worked across more than thirty years in various forms like sculpture and painting.
