Kids Critique Series Launches with Kusama at David Zwirner
Vice Asia has launched a new video series titled Kids Critique, which aims to present contemporary art through the eyes of children. The inaugural episode features a kindergarten class visiting David Zwirner gallery in New York, where a solo exhibition of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama (born 1929) was on view until June 13. The children were particularly fascinated by the Obliteration Room, a white space transformed by visitors applying colorful stickers to any surface. They also offered astute comments on the paintings from the My Eternal Soul series and the large reflective pumpkin sculptures.
