Kids Creative Lab returns to Venice with Rashid Rana and one million children
The fourth edition of Kids Creative Lab, organized by OVS and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, returns to Venice with the patronage of the city and collaboration from Ca' Foscari University. The project involved 25% of Italian primary schools, engaging one million children in exploring themes of travel and landscape through creative workshops. Participants created pop-up books, now assembled into a large installation at Ca' Foscari's C-arte exhibition. Pakistani artist Rashid Rana (born 1968, Lahore) contributed a site-specific photo collage reworking Jacob de Heusch's 'Paesaggio Italiano' using stereotypical Italian landscape photographs. The exhibition includes ongoing educational labs on travel, orientation, and geography. Director Philip Rylands emphasized the project's continuity beyond the exhibition.
