Kiasmo Suite Museum: A Total Immersion Art Experience in Salento

In Uggiano la Chiesa, Lecce, the Kiasmo Suite Museum offers an immersive stay within a meticulously designed architectural work by Vincenzo D'Alba. Founded with engineer Francesco Maggiore and entrepreneur Mauro Melissano, the Kiasmo collective operates from Torre Paduli. The suite museum blends minimal and archaic references, including the mosaic floor of Otranto Cathedral, Moorish architecture of Palazzo Sticchi, and influences from architects Carlo Scarpa, Umberto Riva, Francesco Venezia, Piero Portaluppi, and Franco Albini. Literary references include Ezra Pound, Emil Cioran, and Luis de Góngora. The project aims to provide a cultural and sensory experience countering noisy tourism in Salento. D'Alba describes it as a "lucidly artisanal architecture" and an "exaggeration as absolute admiration for history." The museum also collaborates with fashion designer Antonio Marras.
