Khoj Launches Artists for Artists Grant for Indian Artists Under 35

award · 2026-04-20

Khoj International Artists’ Association in New Delhi is closing applications for its first Artists for Artists Grant on July 31, 2018. The grant offers INR200,000 before taxes to support production costs for an ongoing body of work by an Indian artist aged 35 or younger living and working in the country. Supported by artists Subodh Gupta and Bharti Kher along with Khoj's founding and current board members, the grant seeks ambitious ideas that challenge contemporary artistic practice on aesthetic, intellectual, or political levels. There is no specific theme or medium requirement, but proposals must be ongoing projects in early development with a production timeline not exceeding 10 months post-grant. The selected project will culminate in an exhibition at Khoj. Applicants must submit a basic information sheet, a 500-word project document with images, a portfolio of previous works, and a CV of no more than two pages to applications@khojworkshop.org by midnight on July 31, 2018. The grant aims to help artists realize individual artistic endeavors in the contemporary context.
