Khanenko Museum masterpieces to debut in Germany at Christian Schad Museum
On April 30, 2026, the Christian Schad Museum in Aschaffenburg will unveil an exhibition named ‘A European Collection. Masterpieces from the Khanenko Museum in Kyiv.’ This landmark event marks the inaugural showing of 73 significant pre-modern artworks from Ukraine’s premier Western art museum in Germany. The pieces date from the 15th to the 19th centuries and include masterpieces by renowned artists such as Peter Paul Rubens, Bernardo Bellotto, and Pieter Bruegel the Younger, among others. The Khanenko Museum is recognized as a leading repository of Western art in Ukraine and ranks among Europe's finest cultural institutions.
