Khalid Shafar's Color Threads at Louvre Abu Dhabi
Designer Khalid Shafar presents his work in 'Co-Lab: Contemporary Art and Savoir-faire' at Louvre Abu Dhabi, curated by Alia Zaal Lootah and running until 26 August. Collaborating with Mobilier National, Shafar explores the 365 days of the year through colored threads, influenced by Chevreul's 1861 color wheel. His Harlan watch, originally in 12 colors for 12 hours, inspired the expansion to 144 colors and ultimately the exhibition's thematic multiplication.
