Kevser Güler Named Director of 18th Istanbul Biennial
On January 15, 2024, Kevser Güler will step into the role of director for the 18th Istanbul Biennial. She has previously been involved with the biennial from 2007 to 2014 as an assistant curator, a member of the exhibition team, and a mentor for artists. Güler is also a co-founder of the Cappadox Festival of Contemporary Art Programme and has worked as the exhibitions director at Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts. Some of her recent exhibitions include 'Together Fanzine' at Artİstanbul Feshane and several shows in Istanbul from 2021 to 2023. Additionally, she has taught at Kadir Has University and participated in various advisory roles and jury panels. The Biennial is set for September 14 to November 17, 2024, curated by Iwona Blazwick.
