Kevin van Braak's 'Adriano A Cielo Aperto' Launches in Milan

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Milan's Quartiere Adriano is currently hosting 'Adriano A Cielo Aperto', the inaugural public art project by cheFare, which will be available for viewing until March 20. This exhibition, curated by cheFare, showcases 47 banners created by Dutch artist Kevin van Braak, which are hung on local balconies and depict a mural newspaper featuring the narratives of residents, compiled by writer Ivan Carozzi. The banners incorporate historical elements and poetic expressions. This project is part of the Civic Media Art initiative under Fondazione Cariplo's 'Lacittàintorno', with backing from the Netherlands Embassy, Mondriaan Fonds, and several publishers. The team includes curators Lucrezia Cippitelli and Bertram Niessen, project manager Marilù Manta, and production manager Erika Sartori. Another piece, titled '#Senza Titolo', is set to be unveiled on April 14.
