Kevin Pineda's 'Fragmentia: Oculations of Reality' at SPRUCE Gallery

Kevin Pineda's exhibition, 'Fragmentia: Oculations of Reality,' is currently on display at SPRUCE Gallery in Pasig City, Philippines. He later established The Room, an experimental art venue near the Colosseum, and collaborated on object-based projects at Ma+Ke Lab in Tallinn with Martin Tonts and Nele Kont. The exhibition, under the theme 'The Rejected Image Returns,' delves into the notion that discarded images reveal truths hidden by their refined counterparts. Pineda's work resonates with concepts from Hito Steyerl's 'In Defense of the Poor Image' and Vilém Flusser's 'Towards a Philosophy of Photography,' highlighting the potential of degraded images.
