Kendall Jenner Channels Winged Victory at 2026 Met Gala in Zac Posen GapStudio Look
For her 12th Met Gala, Kendall Jenner wore a GapStudio look by Zac Posen inspired by the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the second-century Greek statue at the Louvre. Posen, EVP and Creative Director of Gap Inc., initiated the collaboration by writing Jenner a letter, despite their never having worked together. The dress reinterpreted the ancient sculpture through a modern lens, starting from a classic white T-shirt. Posen used a lightweight cotton-viscose blend to achieve a wet drapery effect, layering tea-dyed liquid jersey with satin-faced chiffon and organza. He commissioned Abel Cepeda Ljoka and Will Kowall of New York brand Seks to create a 3D-printed leather corset base. Jenner was deeply involved in the process, citing Christina Ricci's 2011 Posen dress as a long-time inspiration. The 2026 Met Gala theme was 'Costume Art.'
