Keiken's Post-Human World Arrives at Baltic Centre with 'Seeds, Stones, and Future Bones'
From September 19, 2026, to January 17, 2027, the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead will host 'Seeds, Stones, and Future Bones', the first major exhibition in the UK by the collective known as Keiken. This event will feature 'Morphogenic Angels: Chapter 1', a single-player action-adventure game, along with sculptures and a brand-new sound installation. Keiken, led by Hana Omori, explores consciousness through gaming and new tech. The game's setting is a thousand years in the future, showcasing enhanced human abilities and a romantic storyline between characters Yaxu and Anamt'u'ul. Keiken has received The Lumen Prize in 2024 and the Chanel Next Prize in 2021, with past exhibitions at Somerset House and the Venice Architecture Biennale.
