Keen Ruffalo on 100 Auditions, Sterling Point, and Growing Up Ruffalo

Keen Ruffalo, son of actor Mark Ruffalo, is making his mark in Hollywood with roles in the indie film Nimrods and Amazon's teen drama Sterling Point. Despite his famous surname, Keen insists he was raised on a farm and kept away from the entertainment industry. He initially studied fashion design at Drexel University before turning to acting during the COVID-19 pandemic. After training at Stella Adler and HB Studio, and over 100 auditions, he landed his breakthrough roles. Keen plays Connor, the twin brother of Annie (Ella Rubin), in Sterling Point, created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, known for The O.C. and Gossip Girl. The show follows siblings who inherit an island from their estranged grandfather. Keen describes his character as a charmer providing comic relief. He also discusses his first days on set, his admiration for directors like Yorgos Lanthimos, Martin Scorsese, and Ruben Östlund, and his love for acting technique. He candidly admits to feeling unprepared for the public life and the business side of acting, but remains passionate about the craft. Nimrods is set for release on August 14.
