Katy Marks, a London-based architect, established The Hub in 2003, recognized as one of the pioneering coworking spaces globally. After serving as a project architect with Haworth Tompkins, she left the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool in 2012 to found Citizens Design Bureau (CDB). The firm has since focused on theatrical design and was awarded the Stirling Prize in 2014. Notable projects include the café of the Royal Court Theatre and the interiors of the Sondheim Theatre. Marks was named Emerging Woman Architect of the Year in 2015, and in 2016, CDB won the contract to restore the Jewish Museum in Manchester.
