Katie Hollander Named Executive Director of Creative Time
Katie Hollander has been appointed executive director of Creative Time, the New York-based nonprofit public arts organization. She joined the organization in 2008, previously serving as deputy director and most recently as acting director after Anne Pasternak left to become director of the Brooklyn Museum. Before her tenure at Creative Time, Hollander was executive director of ArtTable, Inc., a nonprofit supporting professional women in visual arts. During her time at Creative Time, she oversaw significant public art projects including Kara Walker's A Subtlety, a monumental sugar-coated sphinx installation at the Domino Sugar Factory. Her first project as director will be Duke Riley's Fly By Night, a performance series featuring a large flock of pigeons flying above the East River, scheduled to begin in May. The appointment was announced on 12 February 2016.
