Katia Kameli's exhibition 'What language do you speak Stranger?' at an unnamed art center in Marrakech brings together three works exploring oral tradition, translation, and colonial history. The video 'The Storyteller,' filmed in Marrakech's former opera house, features Abderahim Al Azalia narrating Bollywood films. 'Stream of Stories (Chapter 2)' is an installation examining La Fontaine's fables' possible Eastern origins, focusing on 'Les Animaux malades de la peste' through collages, masks, books, videos, and maps. In the basement, 'Le Roman Algérien' documents Farouk Azzoug and his son selling postcards in Algiers, addressing colonial and postcolonial memory.
