Kataoka Mami assembles international advisory team for Aichi Triennial 2023
Kataoka Mami, the artistic director for the Aichi Triennial, has revealed an impressive advisory team for the 2023 edition. Among them is Ralph Rugoff, her former boss at London’s Hayward Gallery. The team also includes Cosmin Costinas from Para Site in Hong Kong, Rhana Devenport of the Art Gallery of South Australia, Eungie Joo from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Victoria Noorthoorn from the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires. Independent curators like Martin Germann, Gabi Ngcobo, and Tobias Ostrander, along with artist Shimabuku, are also on board. The triennial, led by chief curator Iida Shihoko, is themed 'Still Alive' and aims to explore the pandemic's effects and recovery across various fields, highlighting local craftsmanship.
