Kashmir Sapphire Ring Sells for $1M+ at Bonhams New York Jewels Auction

On December 8, 2025, Bonhams' New York Jewels auction featured a Kashmir-origin sapphire and diamond ring that fetched $1,016,500, significantly exceeding its pre-sale estimate of $300,000-500,000. This final auction of the year amassed over $5 million in total sales. The ring showcased a 6.92-carat cushion-shaped "royal blue" sapphire, complemented by two emerald-cut diamonds weighing 2.34 and 2.62 carats, all set in an intricate openwork design. Bonhams offered a carefully curated array of remarkable pieces from prestigious jewelry houses such as Cartier, Tiffany & Co., and Bulgari. Caroline Morrissey, Bonhams' SVP and Head of Jewellery, US, remarked on the exceptional offerings, particularly a single-owner collection of David Webb jewels that garnered significant interest.
