Karen Mirza & Brad Butler Present Multi-Venue Project for Artes Mundi 6 Prize Exhibition

Karen Mirza and Brad Butler, who are contenders for the Artes Mundi 6 prize, showcase their project at three locations in Cardiff until February 22, 2015. Their exhibition, The Unreliable Narrator, at Chapter Arts Centre delves into themes of authority and class, featuring a 2011 Eton exam question regarding the deployment of troops on UK streets in 2040, alongside a video about the Mumbai Attacks. At Cardiff's Temple of Peace, they performed The Exception and the Rule, involving ten community participants to investigate oil and exploitation. Additionally, in February 2015, Mirza and Rachel Anderson will organize a 'Gossip' gathering at the National Museum Cardiff. The Artes Mundi prize, which offers £40,000, will be presented on January 22, 2015; Mirza and Butler intend to use any winnings to further their collaborative efforts.
