The 2015 ArtReview Live series begins with an event featuring artists Karen Mirza and Brad Butler on Friday 23 January from 7–11pm at the ArtReview bar in London. The London-based duo, shortlisted for the sixth Artes Mundi prize, will discuss their recent work, focusing on their long-term project The Museum of Non Participation. This project operates as a fictional museum and critical moving platform developed across multiple locations including Cairo, Karachi, Berlin, Istanbul, and most recently at Chapter in Cardiff. The evening will include drinks and conversation, with the artists examining themes of participation and socio-political engagement in art. The event requires RSVP via email to rsvp@artreview.com. The ArtReview bar is located at 1 Honduras Street, London EC1Y 0TH. The Museum of Non Participation is conceived to confront issues of non-participation within artistic and social contexts.
